Homebuyer Tax Credit
 
There?s good news for qualified California homebuyers. Whether your clients are buying their first home or moving to a new home, they may be able to take advantage of the newly expanded California homebuyer tax credit program1.

Below are some of the key highlights of the program:

  • Up to $10,000 homebuyer tax credit for first-time or repeat homebuyers (California properties only).
  • New Home Tax Credit is available for the purchase of a seller-certified newly built home. Seller must certify that the home has never been occupied
  • First-time Homebuyer Tax Credit is available for qualified first-time homebuyers who purchase a single family residence.
  • CA Homebuyer Tax Credits are available to homebuyers who close escrow on or after May 1, 2010 and on or before July 31, 2011.
  • No repayment of tax credit required2
